Lost in Time...And Found!

One of the problems with recording on film stock is that film tends to rot and burn if not properly cared for. As a result, a lot of classic early films and TV have been lost over the years. And unfortunately, Doctor Who is no exception.

Many of the early adventures starring the First and Second Doctors have gone lost thanks to mismanagement by the BBC. Including classic moments like the first time the Doctor met his long time friend and ally the Brigadier. But thanks to enterprising fans and historians, the search for remaining copies of these stories has never stopped. And their efforts have paid off.

Two copies of the Second Doctor stories The Web of Fear and The Enemy of the World have been found and restored. The BBC is releasing them on iTunes before an eventual DVD release, so check out the trailers below.

It's good to have found them
