My apologies for no new Showtime yesterday. My return from seeing Pacific Rim took longer than expected and I missed my deadline. But we're back now with an episode where Dorothy gets a kitty!
But before that, Dastun shows up at a crime scene where a millionaire has been killed by her dog. Her dog that's mutated into some kind of kaiju thing. Okay... Kitty Time!
Unfortunately, Pero belongs to somebody else and Roger has to give him back. But before he can, A flying car pops up out of nowhere being driven by... David St. Hubbins? Anyway, he guns down Pero's owners and absconds with the kitty and Dorothy. We learn two things from this scene. One, Roger has some honor. When two people are killed in his home, he makes sure their bodies are put at rest and get proper burials. The man's a gentleman. We see this later too when he says guns are against his principles, and even when he has to use them he shoots non-lethally. Despite his lack of introspection, Roger has depth.

He sicks a huge monster on Roger and Angel and it turns out to be Pero. He mutated the poor little kitty into big evil monster. Roger calls Big O but the Pero monster is actually stopped by Dorothy, who talks him down. Pero even kills St Hubbins before walking off into a fire. Big O actually felt pretty superfluous this episode. If Roger didn't call him, not much would have changed. At any rate, Pero is dead and Dorothy is sad now. She sings a sad song she sang to Pero, a song she can't remember ever learning, and Roger says hold onto her memories of Pero. That she should make her own memories.
And that's about it. Not much plot momentum this time, but some good character stuff for Dorothy and Roger. I'm looking forward to tomorrow though because the episode is called Beck is Back. Hell yeah!
